Bullion, IIBX membership & customs

Bullion work at GIFT City runs across IIBX, IFSCA, DGFT and Customs at once. We handle exchange membership, Qualified Jeweller and Qualified Supplier status, TRQ and the customs mechanics on every one of them. The depository leg is covered under IIDI.

Qualified Jeweller (QJ)

  • Eligibility assessment against IFSCA's current net worth and precious-metals turnover tests
  • Application to IIBX with CA / CMA / CS certification of net worth and turnover
  • Liaison through IIBX to IFSCA notification as a Qualified Jeweller
  • Alternative routes — SEZ unit, GJEPC RCMC and Advance Authorisation holders
  • Half-yearly net worth review and continuing obligations

Qualified Supplier (QS)

  • Category assessment across the three QS categories — QS-BTM (supplier acting through a Bullion Trading Member), QS-Client (supplier onboarded as a client of a member) and QS-SCC (supplier admitted as a Special Category Client)
  • Net worth substantiation and documentation
  • Know Your Bullion Depositor (KYBD) and IIBX membership portal filings
  • Depository account opening with India International Depository IFSC
  • LBMA accreditation and OECD responsible-sourcing documentation

TRQ under India-UAE CEPA

  • TRQ eligibility review and DGFT e-auction participation
  • BIS hallmarking and GST prerequisites
  • QJ-TRQ notification and Bullion Trading Member onboarding
  • Certificate of origin and clearance documentation
  • Utilisation monitoring and validity extensions
  • Concessional duty positions and IGCR interaction

IIBX membership categories

  • Trading Member — trading access to the exchange
  • Trading cum Self Clearing Member — trading with self-clearing
  • Trading cum Clearing Member — trading with clearing for own and client trades
  • Professional Clearing Member — clearing and settlement only
  • Nominated Bank and Special Category Client onboarding
  • TRQ Holder registration under the India-UAE CEPA
  • Membership application, net worth certification, deposits and documentation
  • Ongoing membership compliance, reporting and annual renewals

Customs & ICEGATE

  • ICEGATE registration with Class 3 DSC, and IEC and GSTIN mapping
  • Port-by-port AD code registration
  • Bill of entry and shipping bill filing; eSANCHIT uploads and duty e-payment
  • Managing the dual-platform model after SEZ filings moved to ICEGATE
  • IGCR procedure, bonds and duty-exemption documentation
